Pastor Chris Wachter
Chris was born and raised right here in the gopher state! He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in graphic design and worked as a graphic designer for two years before going to Bethel Seminary to earn his Master of Divinity. His hobbies include art, hanging out with friends, watching movies, taking walks with his wife, riding roller coasters (though he gets sick after a couple rides), golfing, cooking out, lawn games, city living, fixing up his house, and reading the Bible. He is married to Aletha—his best friend and soul mate!—and their first child was born in August 2006, Jane Kathleen. One thing he loves about his job is just hanging out with people, so let him know if you want to get coffee or lunch with him sometime—his treat!
Pastor Michael Devereaux
Michael, a native Californian, has enjoyed an unusual route to pastor-hood. From his first job perfecting pizzas at Little Caesar’s, to announcing incoming calls at Sportmart, hauling luggage at Mesaba Airlines, and most recently completing custodial duties at Hope Community Church, he always knew there was a great reward coming! Michael loves nothing more than building "stuff", watching almost any movie, making and exploring music, being friendly to animals, patronizing local coffee shops, and laughing with his wonderful wife Nicole. He always welcomes your company at any of the above activities, though sometimes he appreciates being alone with his wife.

Nicole is a "homegrown" leader of Hope Community Church, having graduated from its Leadership Development Institute in 2004 and then hired as Small Groups Coordinator and S.H.A.P.E. Director. She is passionate about Jesus, her exceptional husband Michael, and spurring others forward in their spiritual journeys. Nicole has never used her B.A. (Political Science) from Gustavus Adolphus College but is a grateful missionary to the Minneapolis arts community. If you like personality assessments, you'll be interested to know that she is a choleric red ENTA lion with strategic, command, ideation, input, and activator strengths.
