Kids & youth

Options for kids on Sundays:

Kids of all ages are welcome in our services. If you would like to care for infants during the service, we have a small room dedicated to this purpose upstairs off the balcony. For those who would like to utilize our nurseries and classes, here are the different options:

  • Nursery for ages 0 to 2.5 - downstairs drop-off

  • Little Lights for ages 2.5 to 4.5 - downstairs drop-off

  • Mustard Seeds for ages 4.5 to K - downstairs drop-off

  • King’s Kids for 1st to 2nd grade* - downstairs

  • Kids’ Church for 3rd grade to 5th grade* - upstairs, off the fireside room.

    * On the first Sunday of the month, King’s Kids and Kids’ Church start the service in their classrooms. On the other Sundays of the month, they leave for their classes after the main set of worship songs, before the sermon.

Curriculum:

We teach from the Jesus Storybook Bible by Sally Lloyd Jones. Each class has an age-appropriate curriculum that teachers use to walk the kids through some of the more well-known parts of the Bible, with the goal of seeing Jesus in every story rather than a mirror image of ourselves.

Pre-check-in and opportunities:

Planning to come to a Sunday service with your kids? Fill out this form ahead of time to expedite the check-in process. We look forward to welcoming you to Hiawatha Church!
